Rosary Club will be moved to next Tuesday, Dec. 19th. The Montessori Strings are coming to perform for us today at 12:30. The Christmas Program is this Thursday at 6:30pm. Out of caution, the school was searched both last night and before school today and was clear both times. Announcements Wednesday, December 6th! Today is St. Nicholas Day! St. Nick was elected Bishop of Myra, and under the emperor Diocletian was exiled and imprisoned. After being freed, he attended the Council of Nicea in 325 where he defended the divinity of Jesus (meaning that he defended that Jesus was fully God). He was known for his great charity and one of his most famous stories was when 3 sisters were too poor to be married, St. Nicholas tossed a bag of gold coins secretly, at night through their window, which allowed each of the sisters to get married. St. Nicholas is the Patron saint of children. Benediction is at 2 today. There will be a photographer with the Catholic Telegraph visiting today. We are beginning the cooking preparation for the Luncheon today, 8th graders will be making pies today. The student council is sponsoring an "out of dress code day" on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st! We are joining in with the St.Denis Knights of Columbus to raise funds for the PREGNANCY HELP CENTER to help with the purchase of a new ultrasound machine! The THEME is "YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM". Please be sure to follow "out of dress code" guidelines found in the school handbook There will be a student council meeting today during first lunch for all members except 3rd grade. Students, be sure to bring in only water bottles containing only water for drinking. Students, this is a reminder to follow the dress code and to consult the sweater and sweatshirt policy as the weather starts to stay cold. Parents, there will be no bussing on Wednesday. When dropping off by means of the alley, enter the alley from Elm St. The alley at this time is to be treated as a 1 way rd. Please do not drive between the shed and the school as many students are walking across the parking lot or are being dropped off from the alley. Parents can also drop off students at the entrance on 3rd st. where students can walk along the sidewalk near the building.
